Back to School Gadgets and electronics for the school year!

It is almost back to school, or already back to school for some students in Canada or the US, so what back to school Gadgets do I recommend? I recommend a large flash drive, Netbook, Tablet computer, laptop, voice recorder, and MP3 Player for students to use during the school year for studying and relaxing.

A large flash drive like the SanDisk Cruzer 16 GB Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive is useful for backing up important assignments, and large media files.

Netbooks  like the Toshiba NB505-N508BL 10.1-Inch Netbook (Blue) has good battery life, and is light, so it won't be overly heavy when you just need to take a notes in class, but don't want to carry around a heavy laptop. A netbook is also good for surfing the web and doing other basic tasks.

Laptops and Netbooks are great, but they are not very easy to hold with one hand to read, so I recommend a Tablet Computer like the Acer Iconia Tab A500-10S16u 10.1-Inch Tablet Computer (Aluminum Metallic) for using as a E-book reader to read E-books, or to use to go online, use apps, watch video, or listen to music. Some Tablets can also be used to take HD video and pictures.

A full size laptop like the Toshiba Satellite L675-S7108 17.3-Inch LED Laptop (Grey) is great for running more powerful programs like video editors, music editors, photo editors, web design software, games, and watching movies in full screen.

A voice recorder like the Olympus VN-8100PC Digital Voice Recorder 142600 (Silver and Black) is great for recording lectures, or recording reminders for doing tasks like Studying, and handing in homework on time

A portable MP3 player like the Creative Labs Zen Mozaic EZ300 8 GB MP3 Player (Black) are great for listening to audio books, lectures you downloaded or recorded with a voice recorder, or listening to music when you are relaxing.

Watching Widescreen video while you are on the go with the Sony PSP!

Wide screen video is better because it is more realistic and better to look at because it gives you a Panoramic view of the video. There are many device that can play Wide screen video like the Sony PSP Hand Held console, Smartphones, Tablet computers, Portable video players, and laptops.

But, most of the devices I mention are expensive except for the Sony PSP handheld game console which you can buy for under 90 dollars on Amazon.

However, it would be great if you can watch widescreen video wherever you go by carrying the device in your pocket. The PlayStation Portable 3000 Core Pack System would be a good choice for your portable wide screen video on a portable device. The PSP can be used to playback MP4 video files, MP3s, and other media file types which you load into a memory stick. It also is a very fun portable hand held gaming console which you can use to play hundreds of games on, or use to surf the Internet with wireless internet from a wireless hot spot with its built-in browser.

The Sony Playstation Portable is sleek, portable, and lightweight, but have enough power for playing back high quality video clips and games for hours when you are on the road.

Using better Speakers for better sound on a TV without spending much money!

Many smaller TVs come with poor sounding speakers which sound similar to laptop speakers. However, most smaller TVs also have a 3.5mm head phone jacks on the side which let you easily plug in a pair of head phones, or speakers which uses a 3.5mm jack. This means you can buy a pair of 2.1 speakers like Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer which are mainly use for computers and portable music players for your TV. In Some cases, you may need to buy a Y-connector like the one listed below to connect your RCA audio output plugs to your TV RCA out, so you can convert it to a 3.5mm plug to plug your speakers into the TV.

By having a sub woofer, which is the biggest speaker, the bass would be better sounding. The left and right speakers for your new 2.1 sound system also sound better then the cheap inexpensive speakers on your smaller TV. This means you would experience more realistic and louder sounding sound on the Logitech S220 2.1 Speaker System with Subwoofer compared to using the built-in sound on budget home TV speakers which are not as rich sounding as Logitech's 2.1 speakers.

S-video to RCA composite video cable for connecting your laptop to a TV or display with RCA Composite video, but no S-video

S-Video to 3-RCA Composite AV Cable for Laptop PC TV Cable lets you easily connect your laptop with an S-video output to a TV which only have the Yellow video, red and white sound composite cables.

This cable will help you convert your S-video video signal to the Yellow RCA composite signal for TV, and the 3.5 mm headphone audio jack to red and white audio connectors to connect to your TV for playing back audio on your TV's speaker system.  You can also use the red and white cable to plug into your stereo or home theater sound system if they both supports RCA inputs for sound.

You can also use this cable for a DVD player which only have S-video out, and no RCA out. The length of the cable is about 5 ft. long.

RCA composite cables are also a lot more easier to plug into a TV because it only have one thick connector compared to multiple connectors on the S-video plugs which you have to align accurately with the corresponding holes in the TV inputs unlike RCA connectors where you just plug it into one hole.

S-Video to 3-RCA Composite AV Cable for Laptop PC TV the perfect cable for easily plugging in your laptops S-video feed to your TV with a Yellow video RCA input.
